I went surfing around all over Hawaii to find a nice place to stay before I came and I have to tell you Abbey Vacation Rentals was the most first class company I dealt with.
I heard about Abbey Vacation Rentals from a blurb I read in a forum about how they only rent condos that have been recently refurbished and updated. I surfed their site and spoke with their customer service and found this to be true. Let me tell you about the customer service, it is outstanding; they dont answer the phone like you are interrupting something, they are very helpful, answering my many questions.
I had seen several comments online about some hotels or agencies being more interested in their bottom line than customer service, even some that seemed to run a bait-and-stitch operation. This is certainly not the case with Abbey. We had purchased a condo for a week, and out of the blue, not 12 hours after our purchase a friend calls us to give us a free place to stay on the big island. Murphys Law, just paid Abbey the night before and this happens. Well I called them back and they were nice enough to refund our money, wonderful. That is a pretty big deal when there is so much competition over there. This tells me that this is an unselfish company that has a heart.
When you travel to Hawaii, you do not completely know what youre getting until you get there. I can tell you from my experience if you go with Abbey Vacation Rentals you will be taken care of. If you listen to the entire message when you call they give you an afterhours contact number for guests with emergencies. First rate operation!!
We arrived at our condo at Kona Nalu,number 105. We have stayed at Kona Nalu before (in a different unit) so pretty much knew what to expect. We love being near the ocean and could hardly wait to open the front door and step onto the lanai to hear, feel, taste, and smell the ocean. The condo was gorgeous, comfortable and well stocked for our stay. It was a fantastic place to call "home" for 11 nights. Dealing with Abbey Vacation Rentals was a pleasure and I would recommend them and would use them again for our vacation rental needs.
We just returned back to Vancouver after two wonderful weeks in KONA, and a terrific condominium that you had arranged for us.
The Villa at Kahulua, was without a doubt, one of the best units that we have ever stayed at. The unit was decorated extremely well, and we were thrilled with all of the amenities that it had to offer.
We can't thank you enough for making this a "special" vacation... forgot to mention, that the location was also outstanding... across from the beach, which we had entertainment daily with the turtles. Close to Kona,, probably 8 minutes at the tops, and also close to the shopping centre, about 5 minutes.
The short walk to the outrigger was also a treat, as we could enjoy a beverage on their huge deck, and watch the turtles below, along with our nightly friend,, a very large eel, than entertained us to no end.
Thank you again, I will certainly spread the word about the fantastic place, I know we left it in as good if not better condition than when we arrived, as it would be a devastation to ruin this paradise... Thank you Mahalo Richard and DeliaOwners
